Who got voted off Survivor 41 last night?
No one! For the first time on the American version, an episode did not involve someone getting eliminated. Instead, considering the magnitude of the twist at the merge, host and executive producer Jeff Probst told the audience that the action from the round would cover two episodes. That means we should finally get a Tribal Council at the end of next week’s episode.
What is the merge twist on Survivor 41?
Strap yourself in, because it’s a big one. The 12 remaining players drew rocks to randomly divide themselves into two groups of 5, with two people not chosen. Those two groups took part in a challenge together. The winning group earned themselves a merge feast, a “spot” on the merge tribe (with a buff to boot), and safety from the next Tribal Council. The losing group went back to the camp for the merge tribe, will still need to compete at the next Immunity Challenge, and are in danger of being voted out next. The winning group also got the ability to pick between the two unchosen people (Erika and Naseer), earning them reward and safety as well. They chose Naseer, and Erika was sentenced to two days and two nights on her own away from her new tribe. She was granted a reprieve from her miserable experience, though, with the reveal of yet another twist from Jeff. He presented her with an hourglass and a choice. She can choose to either keep things the way they are, or reverse the outcome of the challenge, making the other group of five (and her) safe. The episode ended with Erika ruminating over her choice, which she will make next episode.
